Counseling for Teens
The teenage years are filled with rapid emotional, social, and developmental changes. For many teens, this can lead to increased anxiety, persistent sadness, irritability, or withdrawal. Pressures related to school performance, friendships, social media, family dynamics, and identity exploration can feel intense and, at times, unmanageable.
We create a safe and relatable space where teens can express themselves openly—often in ways that may feel difficult to share elsewhere.
Therapy focuses on helping teens:

-
Understand and name their emotions
-
Develop healthy coping strategies for stress and anxiety
-
Build self-esteem and confidence
-
Navigate peer and family relationships
-
Improve communication and emotional regulation

Therapeutic modalities we offer to support clients include:
-
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
-
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
-
Mindfulness-based Interventions
-
Somatic Experiencing
-
IFS (Internal Family Systems)
-
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
-
MI (Motivational Interviewing)
-
Creative and Movement-based Interventions
-
Gestalt Therapy
-

We also collaborate with parents when appropriate, helping to strengthen understanding and support within the family system while maintaining the teen’s sense of autonomy and trust.
